Our Work

ECHO partners with community service and health organizations to serve underprivileged communities. We believe that the best way to address health inequity is to be active in the community to provide volunteer support and health education.

As a non-profit organization, fundraising is imperative to making our programs possible. Our members organize and host fundraisers, and seek local businesses’ support in making our efforts in helping give back to our community possible.

Education is the key in creating lasting change for a community. Together we can raise awareness and inspire others to exemplify our mission in addressing disparities that underserved communities face everyday.

Our Programs

echo+internship.jpg

ECHO's internship program gives individuals an opportunity to work behind-the-scenes with board and the Board of Directors (BOD). From grant writing to sponsorships, interns can learn more about officer responsibilities as well as gain professional development and leadership skills.

ECHO partners with the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) WLA to host Mental Health Matters (MHM), an annual awareness night to help destigmatize mental health and provide resources to students. MHM unites student organizations, renowned performers, and all mental health advocates in a safe space to share thoughts and experiences.

ECHO’s mentorship program pairs our members together as mentors and mentees. This facilitates closer relationships between both new and old members within our organization, but also fosters friendships that last a lifetime.

Alone we can do so little, together we can do so much.
